Posture & Movement Therapy

Restore Your Body Alignment & Movement

Modern lifestyles can leave you disconnected from your inherent human physical abilities. Instead of having a relaxed, agile, supple frame that can easily walk, run, squat, and play, you may be stuck in a postural pattern characterized by tension and torque.

It is essential to release and inhibit these patterns so that your neuromuscular system has the opportunity to learn new ways of moving and resting.

By releasing postural patterns of tension and torque, your body can now adopt new and improved movement patterns. This process can restore your ability to move freely and comfortably, the way your body intended to be.

Your nervous system can become better regulated and relaxed, leading to unrestricted 3-dimensional body mobility characterized by strength, flexibility, and balance. You are now free to be you!

Archetypal Postures

Archetypal postures are primal human postures that are biologically embedded within you including all of your joints and muscles.

Breathing Restoration

By addressing breathing first we reduce a primary dysfunctional pattern that can lead to a myriad of other health problems.

Custom Orthotics

We provide custom-made orthotics by taking foam impressions and partnering with Dr. Paul Coffin, DPM to create highly specialized and unique orthotics for your situation.

Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a light-touch manual technique used to treat soft tissue, bone, and the flow of cerebrospinal fluid throughout the body which encompasses the craniosacral system.

Masgutova Neurosensorimotor Reflex Integration (MNRI)

By detecting primary reflexes that have not been integrated (or have re-emerged due to trauma/stress) we can unlock the brain's ability to connect to the body from a foundational level.

Myofascial Balancing

We use a combination of manual techniques, cupping, postural restoration, sound, and vibration therapy, and body balancing (TBB) to heal fascial restrictions and restore chronic pain.

Myofascial Cupping

Cupping involves a suction force applied to the body as a way to decompress and mobilize fascia and muscle tissue.

Nasal Release Technique

Nasal Release Technique is a powerful structural technique that adjusts the bones of the skull. It was developed by Dr. J. R. Stober. The procedure uses a small finger cot affixed to an inflatable device which is inserted into the nasal passages.

Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy

Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT) is re-training of the facial, head, jaw, and neck muscles to promote proper breathing, TMJ function, occlusion, chewing, swallowing, sleeping, speech, and facial development.

Pelvic Floor Therapy

We utilize Postural Restoration in combination with specific pelvic floor retraining and therapeutic techniques to facilitate optimal pelvic floor and postural function.

Pilates

We combine Pilates with Postural Restoration techniques in order to improve neuromuscular imbalances, while reinforcing postural alignment, muscle performance, and motor control.

Postural Restoration

We are a certified Postural Restoration Center with expertise in utilizing the method of the Postural Restoration Institute (PRI), a holistic approach incorporating the entire postural system as well as the visual, vestibular, somatosensory, and auditory systems.

Postural Restoration for Running

We utilize the method of the Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) to serve as the foundation for facilitating a balanced postural system that can facilitate ideal running performance.

Posture and Vision Clinic

Individuals with strong dysfunctional postural patterns such as chronically tight and painful necks, backs, and headaches that may or may not be accompanied by a history of trauma often strongly benefit from integrating visual and postural therapy.

Titleist Performance Institute Certified Golf Program

Our Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified Golf Program specifically assesses how your body moves in relation to your golf swing.

Trigger Point Dry Needling

Trigger Point Dry Needling is a technique used to treat myofascial trigger points. Myofascial trigger points are tender spots located in a tight band of muscle typically referred to as "knots."
