Thank you so much Dr. Carr for being an amazing physical therapist and making me pain free for the first time in 6 years. I have tried traditional physical therapy in the past and found no relief from my neck pain and tight back. I practiced the breathing exercises you instructed me to do to help strengthen my body, improve my posture and core strength. I can see such a difference in my ability to breathe properly and how much better my body feels, which has even helped improved my blood pressure too! This is the first time I have felt like this in so long. It is a great feeling to know that I can work-out and have fun and do whatever I want to do again. I feel that have more energy than ever when I am working out, running, studying, and throughout the day while I am working. You have inspired me to learn about myself and care for my body in ways that I didn’t know were possible. Your holistic treatment plan, goal setting, and highest quality of care have made all the difference in the world for me. I cannot thank you enough!!!Sean Bur
I went to see Heather Carr at One-to-One Physical Therapy after working with 6 different PT offices over 6 years on chronic injuries. In my search for someone who would be attentive and who would sincerely commit to working with me to overcome not just the symptoms, but the underlying condition, I found Heather Carr and I can definitely say that I found the right person. Heather was focused on what I needed: understanding and eliminating the underlying causes, and then guiding me on implementing the solutions. Heather’s professionalism is unmatched. If you are just plain fed-up with being shuffled in and out of PT offices and if you need someone who is laser focused on you and your specific situation, you won’t find anyone better than Heather. I feel extremely lucky to have been referred to One-to-One Physical Therapy. I dealt with PTs for 6 years, so take it from me: go see Heather Carr!Steven Roth
I was referred to Dr. Carr by my OBGYN in my 36th week of pregnancy. I was having excruciating pain through my right side to the point that I could barely walk. I wasn't sure if it was nerve or muscle related and nothing I had tried on my own was helping. Dr. Carr got back to me right away and was able to fit me in immediately to see her. She asked me really thorough questions in order to assess the problem and then had me perform a serious of exercises and stretches in order to truly identify the source of the issue. After the first appointment, I already noticed progress. I did exercises at home that Dr. Carr recommended, and came back a week later for a second appointment. Dr. Carr again had me do a series of exercises and stretches, some different than the first time, some the same, and again I noticed improvement right away. After the second appointment, the pain had gone away almost completely and I was walking normally again. I would highly recommend Dr. Carr for addressing any issues requiring physical therapy.Debbie Greenburg
In Dec 2013, I herniated three discs simultaneously in my lower back lifting weights at the gym resulting in severe pain down my left leg and numbness in my foot that kept me from standing or walking. I consulted with two doctors who both recommended muscle relaxants, steroids, micro-discectomy surgery, followed-up by physical therapy was the best course of action. I met with Dr. Carr and she thought physical therapy alone could get me active again. The therapy wasn’t easy but I trusted her to get me through it. Within a couple months I was walking and in six months I was running a mile and now I have hope to run 5 and 10Ks again. If you’re willing to work, Dr. Carr is your best hope to avoid surgery and get back to living. And, thank you.Patient from Fairfax, VA
July 30, 2018: I went to see Noelle at the insistence of a friend to try PRI to reduce my chronic knee pain. I had already participated in skilled physical therapy and performing at the highest level of exercise regime but was still struggling due to my pain. Noelle helped me to see patterns of my body and weakness which were limiting me from doing day to day tasks. Thanks to her I am able to sit and watch a movie without having to stand and move, running more than 15 miles a week, and I am not limping when I get up every morning. I’m a believer in PRI and the skill of Noelle to recognize the missing pieces of my puzzle. She was attentive, skilled, patient, and an excellent educator. Thanks Noelle!Gwenn Morris
To those of you whose energy systems are out of whack, and who are seemingly sensitive to everything that comes along, Regenetics work with Heather is really worth the effort. I, too, was a skeptic, saying “what is this? How can it actually matter?” But I felt it at every stage and suffered through every step of Potentiation. I had emotional and physical symptoms; I had detox reactions. It helped me to track the steps and journal my experiences. Those first five months I did not enjoy but I knew it was unfolding within me and having a significant impact on me. So I took extra good care of myself; I needed to sleep more, drink more fluids, do saunas and detox baths, tend to my symptoms and reactions and explore new healing options and modalities. When I came to the integration of levels nine and two I was radiant, and my symptoms cleared. My reluctance vanished and I was ready for the next step. Now I inhabit my body fully and feel well in it. I smile, a lot.Debi G.
I have never had an experience meriting a written testimonial, but my experience at One2One Physical Therapy makes this an exception. The Nasal Release Technique exceeded my expectations, while setting the conditions for the resumption of physical therapy (PT) without additional evasive procedures. During my initial PT evaluation, Dr. Noelle Ekonomou assessed shortened breath. By the second appointment, Dr. Ekonomou determined that further therapeutic treatment would be inhibited without increasing my lung capacity, so she recommended me to Dr. Heather Carr for the Nasal Release Technique. After three sessions, my shoulder and neck neutralized, achieving the intended objective and enabling the resumption of PT with an increased success rate for meeting the required objectives. Session four, however, achieved my desired objectives. First, my carbon dioxide blood level decreased by 10 points from the upper end of the reference range to the lower end of the normal reference range, preventing against other adverse health effects. Second, my muscle spasms in my shoulder girdle ceased. No other previously-attempted procedures achieved any of the above results. And, no other practitioner detected my comprised lung capacity over the past three years. Without reservation, I recommend the Nasal Release Technique and the practitioners at One2One Physical Therapy.Mary Douglas
